It’s finally starting to feel like spring over this way and I love it. I went coatless for the first time in months! I hope you are having great weather wherever you are. So I thought I would start something today that I plan on making a monthly tradition – posting a list and a picture of the freebies I received during the previous month.
A friend who always asks about my freebie adventures, and laughs at how excited I get when I tell her, suggested that I tell you, the Money Under the Cushions Gang about them. I thought about that for a little bit because I definitely don’t want to sound like I’m bragging. Who wants that? Besides except for rare occasions, there’s not much to brag about.
But now I’m thinking it might be a fun thing to do. Also, perhaps it will inspire some to start raking in their own goodies, because honestly they are often pretty easy to get. Finally, as things progress with the blog and I set up my Facebook page, I plan to post links to freebie and giveaway deals I find instead of spamming your inbox with it. So, without further ado, here’s a glorious picture of the stuff I got in March for “nuthin’!” Awesome right? :)
Here’s What I Got for Free in March:
Victoria’s Secret: Sitting in that pink striped Victoria’s Secret bag is a pair of pretty purple striped undies. I received a $10 off any purchase coupon via email. If you haven’t joined their rewards program, do so and you can get these coupons too. If you can’t use it you probably know someone who would love it!
Bath and Body Works: That little blue bottle contains some nice smelling lotion. “Mango Surf,” to be exact. I got a coupon in the mail for a free trial size (3 oz) up to a $5 value.
J.C. Penney: I received a coupon in the mail for $10 off any purchase of $10 or more. I love these because they are always good for SOMETHING, undies, socks, a blouse or work out gear on clearance. This time I purchased a 3-pack of socks for my workouts and a pair of pantyhose that were on clearance, marked down from $14 to 1.97. :)!!!
Every Day with Rachael Ray Magazine: I have a free one-year subscription, and this is my first issue. I would never have purchased this on my own. Nothing against Rachael because I like her just fine. There are a couple of recipes I might try. Hey, I didn’t pay for it so it’s awesome!
Gevalia Coffee: I signed up to receive a sample of their coffee. It arrived last week. My husband and I are looking forward to brewing a pot.
This stuff is supposed to be good for immunity and have vitamin C and other good stuff. I received a two-piece sample in the mail. I just checked and the offer
is still available if you’d like to get your own!
So there you have it, my March freebies. Not bad. Everything is useful. April is shaping up to be a good because it’s my birthday month and I’m getting lots of coupons. Buy-one-get-ones are nice, but totally free is better!
Here’s one for you. My husband and I just watched “Big Hero 6” a Disney animated film on DVD. We both LOVED it. I’ve been walking around all day re-enacting the fist-bump scenes. I laugh every-single-time. If you’ve seen the movie you probably know what I mean. If you haven’t seen it, watch it! Here’s a code for a free Redbox rental that works when you reserve online: PLKMP982. It’s good until the end of April.
Do you “do the freebie,” dance like I do? Is it a waste of time? Something else? Seriously let me know by replying to this email. If you know someone who would enjoy this blog, please share.
Until next time!
